Manufacturing the Zzzz

Pancho and I are able to sleep so incredibly well in the new peace and quiet that is our casa that its as though we've died and gone to heaven. Our kitties have finally accepted the new place as their home as well, and seem to enjoy the increased exercise they get when following us around in a much larger space. Last night they watched in fascination as we assembled our new dining room set.

Another element of tranquility was added into my life Friday afternoon when I learned how to knit on my lunch break. In the works right now are a tiny blue scarf for an un-named object, and a tiny pink scarf for my moms new puppy, Daisy. Pictures to come. The girls at work and I formed a knitting circle we like to call "Stitch and Bitch" where every other Friday we get together during lunch and knit (or crochet, or quilt, or whatever) and bitch/chat/gossip. It is more therapeutic than I had imagined which is wonderful. I chose this logo as our official flag:

I've heard of it, yes. I think I should own it and hopefully soon I will! :)

Wait, on your lunch break? Is it seriously that easy? For some reason I have always imagined that all things needle-and-yarn took months to learn and have always been put off by the idea because I don't have the time.

Yeah, actually! I picked it up pretty quick, and so did another girl I work with who had never learned before. By the end of our lunch hour she and I were knitting away! It does help to have a good teacher, and we definitely had the best. The majority of the girls that learned from a book said it took them way longer to pick it up, so I would definitely recommend having someone teach you if possible.

Lets knit together! :D
