Is it completely sad that I am going to finish the movie Im watching, my glass of wine (and maybe another), fire up the vibrator and afterward, cuddle with my cat in bed tonight? I mean, this is the manifesto of a single girl, yes?
What is it that I miss? The affection? The sex? The security?
Somewhat unrelated: Im watching Hot Fuzz which features British actors and I am a complete sucker for an accent. How awesome would it be to meet a completely charming, brilliantly smart and funny gorgeous man with a British accent? This brings me back to McNulty - the detective in The Wire played by the very handsome British actor Dominic West. Where is my McNulty? Dont I deserve one? Do all American girls want a boy with an accent? Why is there such a seemingly limited supply? Is this not the "melting pot" of the world?
*le sigh*
I know that I must hold out for greatness, the problem is that Im not completely convinced that it is actually out there. I mean, at my age, most great men are understandably taken, yes?
Dont get me wrong - there is an ABUNDANCE of single dudes out there - but its not a "dude" that I want this time... I need to wait for someone awesome. Someone truly fantastic. I believe that I am ready for that. I hope that I am ready for him...
More wine and cigarettes, me thinks.

If you decide to take some time off from the longer-term issue of lasting romance and just want to mix it up with tons of good-looking British guys, you ought to know that they LOVE American girls.
(British girls, on the other hand, do not as a rule love American guys, but that will have zero impact on you should you decide to fly off to London for a visit...)
Ah. A trip to London would be fantastical for many, many reasons (cute British boys being very high on the list) but alas it is not in the cards for me any time soon.
Upon further reflection I remembered that America is not exactly the most popular kid in the world school right now and that maybe my British lover has no desire to be in this country at all anymore. Bushs foreign policy has officially fucked with my love life - is there nothing that man cant ruin?
