Hell week came to a close with a bang - driving in the snow for 7 hours. I took my boy home yesterday and that means driving over Mt Hood to Madras. Lucky for me, MCD let me borrow his Blazer with snow tires for the trip and I made it there and back without incident. There were a few close calls with some assholes who cant drive straight when they cant see the lines on the road, but this is to be expected as there are too many retarded drivers out there to count.
The week was hell and Im glad its over. Having my son was the only saving grace. Adding a level of difficulty, though, was his desire to spend every day with Pancho and my desire to have as much space from Pancho as possible. Children cant be expected to understand breakups though, so we did the best we could to make everyone happy.
Also adding to the hell factor was the complete absence of my support system - my roommates. The girls are in Colorado on a New Years snowboarding-drinking-and-dancing-extravaganza until 8pm tonight when I pick them up from the airport.
Im ready to have a big comfortable space between me and my ex (well, as big of a space as possible when you live and hang out in the same damn neighborhood), Im ready for my girls to be home, Im ready for life to be back to whatever amount of normalcy is to be had lately.
