In other news, today the last episode of The Price Is Right with Bob Barker as host is airing. I totally meant to call in sick to stay home and watch Bob one last time, but, being a responsible adult has once again trumped doing what I actually want to do. Relative to this is the fact that all those rat bastard kids out there are attending thier last day of school today, preparing for a summer break consisting of 2 months of doing whatever the hell they want. *sigh* Those were the days.

That article seems to be talking about something different neorophysiologists already know: that altruism does, in fact, trigger pleasure centers. Apparently, being a good citizen is (can be?) the equivalent of giving a hobo a dollar for bum wine and feeling all rosy about it.
Personally, I just pay taxes so the IRS won't go all Willy-Nelson on my ass.
And I have no idea why that shit is being researched in pastoral Eugene...
