So a friend of mine told me about this tradition the Japanese have where a woman will fold 1,000 paper cranes before she gets married for good luck and to teach her patience. I thought about doing this with stars as a form of meditation. So far it is quite relaxing but a thousand is so many. And then what will I do with a thousand little tiny paper stars? Put them in a giant jar? And when people ask about them and I admit that I once folded a thousand paper stars will they not think I am certifiable? Hmm. Who knows. I wonder how long it will take me? Stay tuned.
Election night was obviously amazing. I was talking to Ingunn and she said she was very happy that she got to be in the states during such a historic time and I thought that was really cool. Someday after she and Kevin move to Norway she will tell their adorable little children that she got to see this historic moment first hand. We all will. Heres hoping there will be more historic positive changes to witness soon (universal health care, anyone?).
Must get back to Lost now. Almost done with the second season and cant get enough. Move over McNulty, theres a new doctor in town! Mmm... Jack...
