Busy, busy

A quick update for those very few who care (wow, that came out wrong)

  • This week has been about getting my shit together before school, and for the most part, has been successful. I've spent a good amount of time jumping through various hoops to get my car fixed and am almost done with that. Recently, my car got towed because the City of Portland assumed that I had abandoned it while it wasnt running. As I was paying $300 for the pleasure, the lady at the tow yard hands me a ticket and says "Oh this is from the City." Apparently the City was not satisfied with just towing my car, and decided to impose an additional $280 "abandoned vehicle" fine as well, which I will be fighting in court.

  • Meanwhile, Ive got all my books, supplies and my parking pass (which I will now actually need) for school and I am trying not to get the first-day-of-school jitters. While I am taking 3 pre-req classes, one of my classes is an actual engineering class and it starts on Monday, so that will be a nice reminder that I am there for a specific goal and now is no time to get nervous or fuck up. So yay me.

  • Also during all of this I have been spending the week with my charming-as-ever son, who is going to be smarter and taller than me in no time.

Planned for the near(ish) future are: debt reduction by way of tax refunds, more work on my car, a new laptop, a regular Pilate's regimen, less stress and maybe a celebration for my 28th birthday.

The days of lazy unemployed life are over.

    xo
