So uh, kinda got into a bar fight last night. Long story short: dude was being a douche bag, punched my friend from around me, my friend started backing away, I pushed dude and he shoved me back like 3 times before the bouncer stepped in.
Dude fucked up on many levels, but unbeknownst to him, he happened to be in a bar that my friend and I frequent quite often and so punching him and then pushing me got him 86'd in short order. I do like that bar (obviously) and am on a first name basis with the entire staff (and even had one of the owners as my doubles partner in a couple of pool games last night) but at times it can be a breeding ground for over testosteroned douche bags looking to fight and/or fuck.
An example of the latter: after things calmed down from the fight I was hit on by a guy who says "Im not gonna lie girl, I just got out of the penn, but I really want to get together with you soon."

Dude. You are such a badass. :]
Also, I'm puzzling over the psychology of the ex-con would-be pick-up artist. "She will find my honesty more appealing than my status as a recently-released ex-con appalling." Is that how that works?
I dont know. To us this seems ridiculous, but whats appalling is the percentage of girls who are actually turned on by the ex-con bad boy type.
Its hot in movies, girls, but in real life it often leads to ugly shit. Trust me.
On the other hand, Ive met a couple of ex-cons who are cool dudes and would really deserve people looking passed their past.
My friend said to me last night "Everyone is an island."
